Sigiriya: This is an ancient rock fortress that rises 200 meters above the surrounding plain. It was built by King Kasyapa in the 5th century AD and features impressive frescoes, gardens, and a giant lion’s paw at the entrance. Sigiriya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most visited places in Sri Lanka.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic: This is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy that houses a relic of the tooth of the Buddha.
